I found on on ebay and a couple of stores in japan (none of which will ship here) that sell them but I don’t know if its cute enough to spend $50usd on yet.  and that doesn’t include any mosquito repellant coils (Katorisenko).  I know this is a tradional summertime item in japan, and I’m still trying to figure out why nobody imports them yet.  oh well I either spend the money (mostly shipping) or keep looking that’s my two choices I guess.

One Response to “Katori-Buta”

  1. I bought one a bit different in a Japanese store that ships internationally, but I don’t know if they still have that item: japonmania.com (you can change the interface to English). They also sold the repellant coils.
Very recently, Jbox.com also sold a regular katori-buta as the one you show in the picture. That was sold out quickly and i asked them to restock it.
Personally I have no problem with the katorisenko because in Spain spiral repellent coils are sold in a regular basis.
I hope that could be of help ^_^
